The Kansas City Protests Were a Moment of Needed Unity
The kansas city protests were probably the first time that i realized that the tide was truly turning. For me, it wasn't about taking a side. It was about doing a something for humanity. Carlos did run into a bit of trouble getting some of the people in his photographs to talk to him. He says there were two main reasons people refused. One, they were afraid of being targeted by the police if they were identified in the media. The concern, i heard is from a lot of white people, is that they don't want to speak for the black population.
