The History of Troy

Troy is an archaeological site located in what is now northwestern Turkey. It's at the entrance to the Dardanelles, which connects the Aegean Sea with the Sea of Marmora. There you would find a mound rising about 17 meters above the surrounding area that encompasses nine cities. The earliest layer of habitation dates to about 3,000 BCE.
