auditory processing problems can be a precursor to learning disabilities, or a specific learning disability. When children are being evaluated for dislexia, make sure that as part of that evaluation, there has been also attention to auditory processing and visual processing disorder. It's just like in the medical world, individuals have multiple things going on. And it's important to focus on all of those things to truly help the student.
