The Importance of Motivational Interviewing

Motivational interviewing is a very specific technique. I will never think it's the wrong thing to incorporate a patient's own motivations and barriers into their care like that's just that's how you take care of patients so the paper I was yeah so I don't think it's going to change my practice necessarily but I wasYeah that's a very helpful comment thank you. Yeah I think something that we've talked about on this show which is probably just the error that we've trained and come up as physicians in is that generally it works better if you're partnering with the patient not just telling them what to do.
