What Kind of UX Research Do You Do in Government?

I was so surprised by how much desk research I had to do just to actually learn more about what was going on, right? In the private sector, we don't really have a lot of secondary research to go off of or to do. But I really see the heart of my research as speaking with real people. And that's always the goal.
