Is There a Lindy Effect of Trusting a Senator?

The Lindy effect of trusting a politician that you've at least seen for a while and no isn't completely bananas. The other side is just like the periods of incumbency, right? Most senators that are running for reelection when they're 80 have been in the Senate for 30 or 40 years. Military vets are on the rise, which is, I think, probably a good thing, just because the military is so important.
