Aristotle's Guide to the Soul

Aristotle begins his inquiry by surveying his predecessors accounts of what the soul is and takes them all seriously. He says there can be no proper inquiry into life for soul as such unless there's a possible understanding of life that unites its many sundry realizations. Aristotle identifies several different types of activity that we all readily recognize as ways life is expressed or manifests itself.
