The Future of Human History

Computation in general introduces into pretty much all areas a way of formalizing things, a way of clarifying one's thoughts. The really interesting thing that now seems to be possible is you can just walk up to a computer and start typing natural language and expect to create a piece of computational language. And I think that's a sort of an interesting moment in education because there's been a tremendous tendency towards increasing specialization or so on. But what really matters is to have the big picture: how do you try to formulate what you're trying to talk about?
