I think it's important to sort of situate the work that we're doing today in a long, long history of tenant struggle in New York. We've had some form of rent control in New York state since the 1920s. And I think our sort of current iteration of the housing movement relies way too much on community development corporations and these sort of 501c3 nonprofits.
