This would actually be a problem that would arise in practical cases of trying to train these models and get them to avoid behaviors we don't like. But it sounds like you're saying that there's not a lot of empirical work on this issue. I think the basic idea is that if you already have kind of skimmy tendencies or sick offense, then during the training process, the people will start getting a bit smarter at catching you out when you're being deceptive. One way would be to learn deception doesn't pay. The other would be, I got to be better at my lion.
