Is There Still a Cohesion Through the Film?
With so many formats and lenses, there is still a consistent feel throughout the film. "We put on quite strong looks as we were going along that we felt represented the era," says director Baz Luhrmann. The transitions between each period and the crossover of the periods are really meticulously planned. There's always drama going on with the colonel, you know, up in the control room or in the Vegas showroom for his first show.
