The Limitations of Type Sense

There is a maximum index size. So index can be up to 500 gigabytes on Mela search, which is insanely huge. There's not too much that Mela search can't do that elastic search does. You can't do negative keyword searches with Mela search. But I mean, overall, it's really darn comparable for the things that I care about.
