How a Great Editor Can Help You Write Better Investigative Stories

i think i told her this, like, when you work on a story for a long enough time, like your perspective gets kind of skewed because you're so hyperfocused. I lose the plot at some point. A great editor in the national security world can do that. And i think it's also about the translation function, you know. It has to be something that we'll read and understand and enjoy and maybe be troubled by. You have to write for people that care about this stuff, but didn't spend their, their professional lives thinking about this every day.
