What St. Thomas Aquinas Means by Liturgical Prayers

All liturgical prayers that we use in the Roman Catholic Mass follow particular structures. These orations are actually reflecting lots of different eras of church history, so some of them date back to the Patristic period. In fact, St. Thomas Aquinas wrote several prayers that we still use frequently. And so that's really what we're going to learn about tonight, how to understand these structures of prayerSo that we can be more attentive when we hear them and when we ascent to them with our Amen at the end of the prayer.
