"We can gain heat adaptations and acclimate to heat quite fast but it requires a concentrated dose so again an example would be seven to ten consecutive days or maybe ten days over a three-week period as I just described. We also lose it fast unless we maintain it by doing a couple of those sessions per week or so with that in mind in terms of what you should do when you're not in the final preparation phases for a race," he said. "Do all your training with the air conditioning on and focus on maximizing the general fitness adaptations gained from heat adaptation"
