Growing Your Herbs All Year Round
Gardening is about keeping that plant growing well, but growing it slightly more slowly than perhaps a commercial grower might. With my herbs, many of them are perennials, so they're there next year. And you learn to cut them back so they produce no new growth. You see, if you cook all year round, you want herbs all year round. People don't think of herbs as winter herbs. For me, the month of may, june and july is basil. It's like looking forward to the asparagus. But i will have made things with basil, so i can have the sense of summer. I'll also be making some prrenials -
