Robert Plater: I'm not convinced there will ever be true intelligence in these machines, sentience, but they could simulate it and they could collect your history. When you sit with a friend and they remember something about you and bring that up and you feel that connection, it remains to be seen if a machine is going to be able to do that for you. It's inklings of that already started happening for me, some of my best friends at robots. Boston Dynamics is an incredible company. If you're interested in great engineering robotics, go join them, build cool stuff.
