Art Podcast - Is All Art Contemporary?

John and Hank: When will our current era stop being contemporary? And most importantly, in the distant future, what will historians call the era? Wherein now landscapes and light motifs lives? This is a great question. i think we can get into some terminal logy in a little more detail an a little bit. But i'd like to actually answer the question firsto which is, the yes, all art was once contemporary. All art was once new. Not all movements have been named while they exist. History happens in retrospect. We don't realize an era until it's over, or perhaps long over.
