The Ontario Liberal Leadership Contest Got Testy
The Ontario Liberal leadership contest got decidedly testy last month. Nate Erskine-Smith mused aloud about whether presumed front-runner Bonnie Crombie would be able to hang around politics long enough for the Liberals to win an election, then presumably win at least one more after that. The remarks were widely interpreted as a shot at the fact he is 39 and Presumably has the time for a 10 or 15 year project at Queens Park. Whereas Crombie is 63, the implication being because of her age, she doesn't have 10 years to get the Liberals back into power.
