Mimesis

Mimesis is a form of normative imitation. It's in many ways a relativistic sort of way to establish normativity, right? Because it's essentially saying when I look around, and if most people agree with me on normativity, that the beautiful is opulence or I'm sorry, you know, being fat or being skinny, then I would ingest those values slowly as well. In my second lecture, I argue that this desire to be really is original sin, because it's a prideful imitation of Satan in his attempt to sort of obtain the metaphysical qualities of God.
