What Is Speed?

Speed is not just maximum speed, for example, or maximum velocity. It's the confluence and integration of many sub components that produce sporting movements at speed. We can't define it as a single construct, right? You know, we've organized it into energetically determined conditioning abilities. And then those two have sub components of within this system is, well, right? So you've got an information oriented coordinative skill. What does that mean? linear speed, endurance, speed reserve, all these things make up that other part of thatconditioning ability. That's what we sometimes refer to when people say 'speed in sport' I don't find that enough coaches ask that question
