Democracies Can Fail, and All Other Things Being Equal

In the title of the book, a sustaining democracy gives a little bit of an indication that we're on the same page here as well. Like no democracy demands a kind of maintenance that calls for us as its citizens to perpetually try to cultivate and shore up within ourselves certain kinds of capacities That are not am some of which, i should say, are not natural to us, are not easy for us. It's hard to fully embrace that thought. But that's kind of what democracycould cause us to do.
