The idea is that once you've pulled these free radicals apart, they become magnetically sensitive. They can then get pulled back together again to form a more stable molecule. But when they do so, the kind of molecule they form will be sensitive to the magnetic field. That's happening inside the bird's brain - and it could be entanglement or not.
