SEIU Local 99 Strikes in Los Angeles
This week, 420,000 LA public school students were home as SEIU Local 99 went on a three day strike. The union represents 30,000 LA school support staff, including custodians, cafeteria workers and bus drivers. Vanity Amano is the chair of the union's local chapter; she joins us to talk about why they're striking.
