A social psychologist's research interests are really around understanding perceptions of racial inequality, probably defined. We started off with this particular line of work because we didn't want to take for granted that white folks lay perceptions of the extent of racial equality was accurate. And so across several different studies at this point, they follow a pretty similar and simple methodology.
