The first commercial comes in 1971. Grimace lower says he is the embodiment of a milkshake or a taste bud. In 73, Sid and Marty Croft sued McDonald's because their stuff looked too much like HR puff. They got a $50,000 settlement and then it was appealed and they got a million dollar settlement from McDonald.
