Carmilla was published serially in 72 and 73 in The Dark Blue, a London literary magazine that did not last for very long. There's kind of a through line from Carmilla to the recent, you know, sexy supernatural stuff, your Twilight's, your vampire diaries,. That is a little bit more similar than you just look at Dracula.
