Back in the 19 eighties, there were some 60 thousand nuclear weapons on here. Every one on earth was held hostage to a nuclear arms race that was out of control. And so while we were already deeply concerned about climate change, even back men at the time, the danger of nuclear war was a great shadow on our future. Two scientists named crutson and burkes had done some research in this area. But you know, my role in nuclear winter was that it unfolded in my living room.
