The Destroyment of the Syrian Library

What happened to this library after Ashurbanipal's death? It seems to have been moved, perhaps from his palace to other palaces. And then it was destroyed. The destruction of it... That's 616, basically. In the course of the sack of Nineveh, the palaces burnt on the citadel, Q and Jig. As the palaces burned, they collapsed, and deeply hidden within the remains of the buildings. Fortunately, as a result of the burning of the palaces, the tablets were partially baked - which aided their preservation.
