Introduction

Missy Mazzoli is a Grammy nominated composer who has won critical acclaim for her apocalyptic imagination. She made history in 2018 when she became one of the first two women to receive a main stage commission from the Metropolitan Opera. Her music has been performed by opera companies and orchestras around the world as well as on some balls like the Kronos Quartet and 8th Blackbird. We'll be sharing music that takes us to the extremes of emotion from Daniel Biansson to Gustaf Mahler, Ellen Reed's Pulitzer Prize winning opera and Shaky Kannemesen's arrangement of Bach.
