Getting to a Decision Point
It's slower to write memos and to exchange and aline on ideas through memos. Many of us punt projects or even just punt strategic thinking, because we will think to ourselves, this probably requires a memo. The hard thing is chunking out that amount of time. And so it does delay getting thoughts out in the first place. It's not existential, but it is one of thefalls, or pitfalls, of memo culture.
