Why Women Leaders Matter in a Business in Trouble
Businesses that appoint under represented leaders are more likely than average to already be in a period of poor performance. In patriarchal societies, women are viewed as caregivers and nurturers. Research shows she is often not given the tools or the time necessary to make that change. And so her chances of falling off that cliff are increased before she even begins because of the limitations of the imaginations of the people who have brought her in. The saviour effect signals to us, to shareholders, investors, employees, the business is back in a safe pair of hands.
