The Restrict Act doesn't even name TikTok. It gives the Commerce Department and the Secretary of Commerce authority to just pick which apps get banned. Bree Sullivan: I think if we, if we legislated that TikTok had to do it and free their software code, that would be a sort of precedent to then force Google and Facebook to free their softwarecode.
