In 1990, 67% of Americans between the ages of 25 to 34 were living with a spouse. In 2019, only 53% of Americans live with a spouse and 38% are unpartnered. A lot of people, at least when they're teenagers, want to get married, but fewer people are getting married today. So it's not going to be too many kids or too many people. It's that we have too few kids, too few people.
