I think it adds to the experience. I look back at all my serious trips and none of them have been in Land Rover. Take a Toyota. You take the best tool for the job. If you were driving a perfectly reliable vehicle, you would have already had the bacon and eggs. And if you read like Ray Highlands trip across the Silk Road with this totally ill-suited vehicle.
