The DSM-5: A Manualized Language for Mental Health

The fifth edition, DSM-5, was released in 2013 and is generally accepted today as the main method for diagnosis. Despite numerous limitations, the DSM is an attempt to standardize the language of mental health professionals. It stands for mood, sleep, interest, guilt, energy, concentration, appetite, psychomotor recardation, or agitation, and suicide.
