The Effect of the 2008 Banking Crisis on the Economy

Until then, in the first two decades of my generation's lives, there was growth each year. But since 2008, particularly in Britain, there has been no growth. So if the British economy had continued to grow at the same weight that it had before 2008, British economy would be now 20% to 25% bigger than it actually is at present. And most of that growth has been lost as a consequence of the 2008 banking crisis. The point is that the Global Financial Crisis 2008 has defined the adulthood of my generation and this really underscores why it's important to understand why these occur.
