Java and Kotlin - What's the Difference?
I would assume that there's some productivity drop, not just because it's syntactically different, but because it's different paradigms. Scala initially purported to be a Java plus plus. And I think they pretty quickly realized like, like that wasn't their message that was going to work. The way that people were using Scala was so different from what Java developers were used to. In the case of Google, Google is using coroutines in a number of places. But in the places that are kind of interoperating heavily with Java, Google has its own async framework which you can use on both the Kotlin side and on the Java side. So yeah, I think the parad
