People like to feel good about themselves, especially in the moral domain. A lot of actions are about m me, me. And one by saying, about me, and i have this audience of b that i want to impress with what me is doing. There are a lot of things we just won't say to other people because we do want to maintain social harmony. We want to maintain the idea that we think well of them. People ut very concerned about the singnes they send to other people.
