Women's Suffrage - A New Generation of Women

The two women suffrage associations merged in 18 90 to form the national american women suffrage association, or nassa. Elizabeth katy stanton serves as nasa's first president but allows her dear old friend susan b to drive the organization. As jim crow laws cut away at the black male vote, nassa won't enter the fight. A third of women support suffrage, another third oppose it, while the last third is indifferent. Yet even those figures will be an improvement when you consider that there are arguably 15 thousand organized suffragists across the whole united states.
