Is It Possible to Break Quantum Field Theories?

Quantum field theories are only a few decades old, and they came into play to explain collisions at high energy that we couldn't otherwise understand. And so it may be that at crazi or high energies, we need a whole new kind of idea about what's going on in the universe. Or maybe quantum field will describe everything up to the plank scale. We just don't know.
