The xenopyth on t go proverbs, wet, dry and aha are some of the creeds used by developers. Some languages have them in conflict with others such as ruby which favours convention over configuration. Dry is one of those things that gets pounded into you very early on in your career. And whet is something that you may hear of - typically three times is what i go with.
