Colt's Smart Guns - Why Did Colt Shelve This Idea?

Colt has a limited budget to invest in smart gun technology. Virtually the entire industry has publicly stated that they are against the concept. Read is lobbying washington to give away forty million dollars to colt. We do not have smart guns manufactured to day ecolt was shelved, and i'm going to talk about why that is in a second. Colt says we had rolled this out in two to three years. So what happened? This was 19 99. Congress went hard right on guns. But could we massively change the direction that our country is headed? I think it wuld be a great starting point.
