"I had lived through the 80s in high school and college with the fear that you might get HIV from having sex with a girl," he says. "If you are a heterosexual person, not taking IV drugs, your chances for getting HIV have always been minimal at best, essentially non-existent" He adds: "They scared the crap out of us in the 1980s over HIV and they did it for a reason"
