How to Solve Radioactive Decay Problems
The term you will see quite a bit on the MCAT is half-life. In terms of decay, half-life is the time for one half of a given substance to decay. The equation that governs exponential decay is some amount of substance at time t is equal to the initial amount of that substance times e to the minus kt where k is the exponential constant and t is the time.
