There's two sides of the same coin. Sometimes organizations don't value their gift officers enough but also there are times where we value ourselves too much. And if you need to go earn more money and your boss will never put anything to writing I would start probably looking for another job. If you really are that good which a lot of people think they are it may be time to go start your own thing.
