The Oracle of Delphi's Prediction About Psyche's Future
The Oracle of Delphi gave a prediction about Psyche's future. Aphrodite was hard at work here as well, influencing the Oracle and it was not a good prediction. The Oracle said that while Psyche would indeed get married, it would be to an ugly spirit. She must walk to the abyss, say goodbye to her loved ones, and wait for her husband to arrive there. It was the only way she would have a future.
