CSS Nesting: The Future of CSS
SAS dropped CSS nesting. It's so much easier just to nest your selectors inside of it than to have to write out the long chain of selectors. The way it works is inside of your brackets you just do your next selector. You don't have to do anything beyond that and then you can use an ampersand to represent the parent. So if you want to do a pseudo selector on the parent you could say ampersand colon the pseudo selector your brackets and then have that work right.
