Speaker 2
We'll send you a link when it comes out. And
Speaker 3
everybody should buy the books, books, plural. It's the Borgata trilogy. So we've been talking about volume two. Volume three is probably going to come out, what, next year?
Speaker 1
Yeah, either end of this or the beginning of next.
Speaker 3
Okay, so volume one is basically the history of the mafia through to the probably like 30s, 40s?
Speaker 1
Yeah, so it starts in 1860 Sicily, and it goes up to about 1960 America. So it's a first like a big 100 year block, the first volume.
Speaker 3
Excellent. Yeah.
Speaker 1
And the second volume picks up with 60 and goes to around 1980. And then the final volume would be Autumn of Empire. And that would be my own time, which would be 1980 up until around 2005, I would say. I was released from prison in 2003. I saw a mafia I didn't recognize, but I had already decided to leave that world. So that's sort of like when it was already done. And I kind of trace it to monumental figures that have been erased from the scene by then. And as they sort of like are terminated from the scene, those are the last sort of like the last of the Mohegans and you don't see them again. And sort of the whole thing goes with them. So that's Autumn of Empire. I think the mafia is dead in America, but it was based on family. It was based on Omerta. It was based on different values, even if it was a twisted set of values. And you could literally trace the decline of American society neck and neck with the decline of the mafia.
Speaker 2
That might be a whole conversation in and of itself. I would love to unpack that thesis yeah let's
