The Warship Wager
The ship was 123 feet long and had 28 cannons on board. It was designed to be both murderous instruments for naval battle, but also the home for scores of seamen who were going to be living together in close quarters as a family. The wager like other ships in the swatch and other warships at the time would have been very vulnerable to storm and elements because they were made of perishable materials such as wood.
